In a recent blog posted By David Bellona (@davidbellona), Designer on Twitter's official blog saying that a new and improved twitter profile will be updated.He started by saying "Moment by moment, your Twitter profile shows the world who you are. Starting today, it will be even easier (and, we think, more fun) to express yourself through a new and improved web profile.

There will be many new feature which will be added and will definitely improve your profile look.
As some of the features are quite impressive and also users were looking for the same from a very long time like as new web profile lets you use a larger profile photo from previous one, customize your header, show your best Tweets to all those u want to and much more.
Some of the highlights mentioned were:

1. Best Tweets: Tweets that have received more engagement will appear slightly larger, so your best content is easy to find.
2. Pinned Tweet: Pin one of your Tweets to the top of your page, so it’s easy for your followers to see what you’re all about.
3. Filtered Tweets: Now you can choose which timeline to view when checking out other profiles. Select from these options: Tweets, Tweets with photos/videos, or Tweets and replies.

 Note: Today, this new profile setup is available for a small group of users only. But, yes if you are new to twitter and has just signed up then congratulations you’ll start in with the new profile. And for others ie: existing users it will be automatically be updated to your particular profile soon.
